The Evolution of the Women's Movement in the United States

The power of a movement can influence and reshape a conversation. This exhibit will educate and enlighten visitors about the power and impact that peaceful protests and demonstrations can have when striving to achieve greater equality and social change.
The women's movement is made up of a series of social reforms and campaigns that includes voting rights, reproductive rights, equal pay, and more. This exhibit highlights key campaigns in the women's movement throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. By contrasting the origins of key social movements to where the movements currently stand today visitors gain perspective on how social movements evolve over time.
Although women's rights have come a long way, there is still a long way to go on the topic of social reforms and equality for all. Through this exhibition, visitors will gain a greater understanding of how these movements have made a difference and continue to make a difference.
